Amid an overlooked patch of Atlanta wilderness—wedged between rail lines, riverbanks, and industrial ruins—an out-of-work carpenter transforms decades of discarded brick, clay, and debris into the whimsical, ever-evolving Doll’s Head Trail. Blending Indigenous history, brickwork archaeology, and community participation, the trail reveals a landscape shaped by extraction, neglect, and imagination. What began as one man “making lemonade out of lemons” becomes a living artwork that invites visitors to rediscover land, memory, and their own creative agency
